¡Aleluya! Casi tres meses han hecho falta para escuchar el nuevo single de Calvin Harris. No sabemos si habrán sido las constantes peleas con Rita Ora lo que ha retrasado su estreno, o si es que el Dj quería explotar al máximo el éxito de “Summer” para el idem, pero sea como sea, ya está aquí “Blame” con John Newman (de quien nos declaramos absolutos fans). ¿Habrá valido la pena la espera?

Lo primero que se echa de menos en “Blame” es el subidón a lo “We Found Love” que se intuía en sus previews. Y es que lo que creíamos que era el puente (“So blame it on the night / Don’t blame it on me”), resulta que era también el estribillo y el 80% de la canción. Al final, a pesar del estilo medio crooner que aporta Newman, el tema resulta algo repetitivo y poco potente en comparación con otros singles del británico. Puede que sea un grower, puede que lo acabemos dando todo cuando suene en la discoteca (muy probable), y puede que nos tengamos que comer nuestras propias palabras, pero de momento, nuestro veredicto es un aprobado muy justo.
