Entre los titulares, la confirmación de Birdman como una de las favoritas, al conseguir el máximo número de nominaciones (siete, frente a las cinco de Boyhood o The Imitation Game), así como la confirmación de que Jennifer Aniston es una firme candidata a tener en cuenta en la carrera, tras su nominación de ayer en los SAG y su confirmación de hoy, gracias a su papel de Cake. Brava. Porque un mundo en el que Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock y Jennifer Aniston pudieran irse de copas y llevarse cada una su Óscar sería un mundo mejor. Sin embargo, la gran favorita en la categoría interpretativa sigue siendo Julianne More.
La ceremonia de entrega de este botellón de alto standing prestigiosos premios se celebrará el 11 de enero en el Beverly Hilton Hotel de Beverly Hills, y será presentado de nuevo por las grandísimas Tina Fey y Amy Poehler. Al premio a mejor película cómica o musical optan Birdman, Gran Hotel Budapest, Pride, San Vincent o Into the Woods, mientras que el premio al mejor drama puede recaer en Boyhood, The Imitation Game, The Teory of Nothing, Selma o Foxcatcher. El mejor director del año puede ser Wes Anderson (Gran Hotel Budapest), David Fincher (Gone girl), Alejandro González Iñárritu (Birdman), Richard Linklater (Boyhood) o Ava DuVernay (Selma). ‘
Otra de las grandes sorpresas es el ninguneo a Angelina Jolie y su Unbroken, uno de los títulos que más sonaron durante la carrera. Karma.
